Hi, I’m Andrea!
I love working with animals, and that spark led me to create Dog Tails & Dreams.
The name comes from my two favourite things: the pure happiness of a wagging tail and my dream of spending days with amazing animals. It’s also a cheeky nod to a classic 1988 movie!
I left my busy corporate job to pursue a career as a professional pet groomer, and I've since met hundreds of pets and families from across Perth’s northern suburbs. My favourite part of the job is seeing post-groom zoomies and watching them proudly show off their fresh new look.
A happy dog with a wagging tail is how I know I’ve done my job right!
My Promise: Sanity Over Vanity!
Your dog's safety, comfort, and wellbeing are my absolute top priorities. For my nervous nellies, I always start with a gentle chat and a cuddle, letting them sniff around and feel comfortable before we begin. We take plenty of breaks for a stretch and a play if needed.
My salon is fully secure, and I only use professional tools and equipment that are regularly cleaned and maintained. I work with your dog, never against them. There is no force used here; their comfort comes first. As I always say, it’s sanity over vanity!

I believe every dog deserves the best, which is why I exclusively use Secret Weapon products. They are organic, safe for pets with skin allergies, smell amazing, and leave your pup’s coat feeling incredibly soft. While they wait for you, your dog can relax in my ‘Dog Tail Lounge,’ a cosy space with fresh water, toys, treats, and comfy beds.
A Lifelong Love for Animals
My life is filled with rescue animals! At home, I have two cats (Bob and Olive) and my dog, Oscar. Ironically, Oscar hates being groomed, which makes him the perfect practice partner for handling even the trickiest of clients! Seeing the joy on an owner's face when they are reunited with their happy, clean pet makes my day, every single time.
